I'm a new installer, and following the instructions on my specific device and the instructions on the website, I'm getting errors. Everything I have tried end up with mtd: not found or sysupgrade: not found or mtd-write not found or I just press enter and nothing happens and i can enter a new command. I'm confused, please help me and give me insight to what I am getting wrong.
You can start by telling us which device you have, which firmware and version you're trying to flash, and using which method.

I have the RX53U and I am trying to install the 24.10.0-ramips-mt7621-asus_rt-ax53u-squashfs
And how are you trying to flash the device?
What sysupgrade?
Please perform all steps in order recording console texts.
mtd-write the instructions on openwrt for the AX53U
Please post console log of failure.
Upload, verify checksums,flash
Also note that some oem fw versions have no -r switch, some bootloop on first openwrt boot, important to wait 10min after flash+reboot and toggle power if device is not up.
