Travelmate, Configuring with Wan ( Ethernet cable)

Hey guys.

I setup travelmate on my router with WWAN speed and connectivity is working fine and great but I'm not satisfied with the latency.

Now what I'm thinking is to setup travelmate with wan interface because i have to go through captive portal

I do some searching on internet and find out the router install in my apartment from ISP is Tenda i29

It have 2 Lan ports 1 is lan PoE and another is only lan.

I believe my my ISP is using only POE LAN.

So the question is can i plug Ethernet cable to the lan port of i29 and to the wan port of my openwrt router and setup travelmate with wan port not with the wwan?

Yes you can.

Thanks,

I just have to change interface wizard to wan only in travelmate?

Or if you know any other better way to configure can You please tell me keep in mind i have to go through captive portal to access internet.

Also all the device which connect to openwrt router should not go through captive portal.

Technically you can do the first part of your question, the second part won't work. Travelmate only handles WLAN stations - nothing more. See the readme for details ...
