Transmission rpc error on fresh installation (21.02.1)

Well. My config file is located at /etc/transmission. As I said before, I only make it working when disabling all the system updates and keeping the settings in this way:

I hope we can have a fix soon to benefit from future updates.

There is no update as I know...
I only kept OpenWRT untouched with no updates to use it...

hopefully not too bad of a necrobump, but I am now experiencing the same issue as described above with none of the solutions described working. after 2 hours I gave up.
I'd previously had issues with getting the RPC for transmission to work, but always had been able to get it working after a new install. I've been using the same 19.07.6 image for my router for 2 or 3 years now, and occasionally need to nuke it and reinstall which is what I just did. I always backup and restore the old configs and install a list of packages as the first step after I flash the firmware.
Only this time, transmission RPC could not connect, and even after deleting the configs and reinstalling the transmission packages I had no luck.
