TP Link XE75 Pro

Good morning,

I own a TP Link XE75Pro router and I find that it does not have a satisfactory or advanced web interface and that there are not enough updates.

A priori, no OpenWRT image is available, do you think that one day there will be the possibility of installing OpenWRT on a Deco XE75Pro?

(Sorry, my post is linked with Google Translate)

What does the forum search tell you?

It’s supportable, I believe it’s an IPQ5018 SoC with 3 wifi radios:

  • ipq5018: 2.4G (2x2)
  • qcn6102: 5G (2x2)
  • qcn6122: 6G (2x2)

If only someone had such device with serial access

That does not match previous investigations of this hardware, not at all.

I don't think so, on the contrary.

Only the v1 had downloadable (binary) firmware images and corresponding GPL tarballs, that one was Bradcom based. v2 doesn't seem to have verifiable (firmware) information so far, the FCC images are a bit more promising, indeed.

There’s a v3 to make it even more confusing..

Thank you for your answers, so to resume, at the moment, this is not possible but one day maybe

v1 will certainly 'never' be supportable.
v2 might be, if someone with the hardware on their desk starts developing on it.
v3 no one knows what's inside.

tl;dr: Never bet on future hardware support, only go with what is explicitly stated as supported right now.

No, no, I understand correctly, I bought this router more than a year ago and I am completely satisfied with it, and I rediscovered OpenWRT a few days ago, so not finding any information, I simply came to ask the question
