Tp link u-boot magic string?

I'm having issues trying to get my router to let me into U-boot.

I have tried tpl and t as suggested elsewhere but it does not seem to work.

Is there a way to findout the string binwalk or something or some way to disable it or boot from a loader to run in ram or something?

My console defiantly works in the kernel I just can't get u boot access.

The device is a deco x80-5g

I'm having a hard time finding official OpenWrt support for this. Would you please provide a link?

There is none yet I'm hoping to at least help with info about the system that may help the devs make a port possible in the future.
I have created a wiki page and I'm updating it with info I find.

This thread needs to be moved to the developer's section. It is currently in 'Installing and Using OpenWrt'.

I can move it or you can; it is up to you.

TP-Link also likes to cut the rx line (missing 0-ohm resistor) or pulling the rx line on ground, so make sure that your keystrokes really hit the SOC.

I can enter failsafe mode and interrupt booting the QSDK based OpenWrt image,

I put info on the wiki about my findings on the uart I had crosstalk from TX and RX and had to add a 10k pullup.
