tried to flash OpenWrt on my TP-Link TL-WR841N V13 but failed.
Now the Wi-Fi is not turning on. I’ve tried accessing 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.1.1 but couldn’t reach the router.
When I connect using a Cat-6 cable, it shows "connected, no internet."
Wi-Fi is not broadcasting either.
The indicator lights are functioning normally. When I try to put it into firmware flashing mode, the lights change accordingly. Even when I power it on or off, the lights behave as expected.
Does anyone know the solution to this?
By default, wifi is disabled on OpenWrt. You need to configure and enable wifi, but to do that, you obviously need to be able to connect to the device.
OpenWrt's default IP is 192.168.1.1
, but how did you try accessing these addresses?
What is the IP address your computer is showing on the ethernet connection?
As I said, this is expected behavior immediately after OpenWrt is installed.
That's promising.
What exact filename did you flash to the router and how did you do it (what was the process you used)? Where did you get the file?
Please try pinging 192.168.1.1.
