Tp-link TL-WA1201v2 bricked after installing openwrt 23.05.3 release

hello community,a few years ago i started using openwrt with a tp-link archer c7,that works grate. a week ago i bought an access point TP-LINK TL-WA1201V2 that when i flash the openwrt 23.05.3 oficial release it bricks my AP and i have to go back to stock. is there a way to make it works? i opened the ap yo see what chips are inside but there are soldered and covered. any idea?

According to:
https://openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-wa1201_v2#oem_easy_installation
You have to reset OEM to defaults before flashing OpenWRT at totally clean boot.
Factory image from here:
https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org/?version=23.05.4&target=ath79%2Fgeneric&id=tplink_tl-wa1201-v2
After that only sysupgrade images to be used to upgrade openwrt.

Try to note steps you take, should be really as simple as in page - reset brand new router and upload OpenWRT factory at first chance.

it`s just what i did,4 times...it bricks the device! i followed that specific tutorial that you post. even i try to flash it from factory defaults by tftp method, and briks it again!

Sounds scary, If you have time try older factory https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org/?version=22.03.0&target=ath79%2Fgeneric&id=tplink_tl-wa1201-v2 then sysupgrade to v23, and report bug at github. Or just call it a day and stay with OEM FW.

i try that to,same result. i was thinking to try a snapshot, install luci from ssh and then sysupgrade to latest 23.05.x,it could work? or i was thinking that this device has a diferrent hardware (soc and wlans) and that is why bricks the device when install openwrt.
