TP-Link TL-MR3220 v2 doesn't see USB modem ZTE 823

Trying to install ZTE 823 USB device (LEDE 17.01.4). I've installed kmod-usb-net-rndi. After rebooting still no drivers.

T: Bus=01 Lev=01 Prnt=01 Port=00 Cnt=01 Dev#= 2 Spd=480 MxCh= 0
D: Ver= 2.00 Cls=00(>ifc ) Sub=00 Prot=00 MxPS=64 #Cfgs= 1
P: Vendor=19d2 ProdID=1225 Rev=f0.70
S: Manufacturer=ZTE,Incorporated

I've also done facotory reset.. but no luck...
What's the reason? How can I fix it?
Thanks.

yep... same problem...

with a Alcatel MW40 and a ZTE MF910...
(tested with a TP-Link TL1043v4 and a Asus n18u)

I found some info of a polish (i think) guy with the same problem: "https://eko.one.pl/forum/viewtopic.php?id=15592"

apparently is a hardware id array index mismatch...
this was found in 2017.05 and still lurks in v17.01.04
(i'm using the last version from 2 days ago)

I can see the device with:
"cat /sys/kernel/debug/usb/devices"

but it does not appear in:
usbmode -l

I Installed
usb-modeswitch
kmod-mii
kmod-usb-net
kmod-usb-wdm
kmod-usb-net-qmi-wwan
uqmi

and try to configure the the usb device
but the device "/dev/cdc-wdm0" do not exist

so I'm waiting for the next version of LEDE
to see if this is corrected...

If anybody know of a workaround
please feel free to share...

Reinstall usb-modeswitch from https://downloads.lede-project.org/releases/17.01-SNAPSHOT/packages/mips_24kc/base/

Why are you advising to install a package from snapshot to a 17.01.4 installation?
How does the snapshot package differ from 17.01.4 package?

Because the problem described on my forum (eko.one.pl) was caused by the fact that old usb_modeswitch had bad data.

Sorry, but 17.01.4 and 17.01-snapshot has the same version. So your problem is not related with usb-modeswitch described on my forum.
