I bought a new TP-Link RE 450 v2.1. Is it safe to flash snapshot image? Is it better to wait for 19.01?
Assuming that the image is for your exact model, yes, it should be safe. If you want LuCI, you can install it using opkg.
You should install any kernel modules you might need (such as file systems or drivers for USB devices) the day you install a snapshot as the next build's kernel modules will not be compatible with your installed snapshot. If, in the future, you find that you need another kernel module, you can flash that day's snapshot and the modules you need.
19.xx isn't coming out in the next weeks, that I know of. Many of us run on snapshot builds or master on an everyday basis.
