Good day for everyone. I installed openwrt with luci interface from here on TP Link ax23 router.
It has 1 WAN and 4 LAN ports and WAN port died. I want to set LAN 1 port as WAN with PPPoE connection and keep at least 1 LAN port to connect PC to router to get internet.
I tried do this with some previous instructions from this forum but this didnt work for me im kinda newbie. Below i put images with interfaces and ports. Thanks for advising.
Take one if the "eth_" ports out of "br-lan", then configure it as a PPPoE client, and add it to the WAN zone on the firewall.
Pictured good just that does not contain significant detail about wan port.
Please connect to your OpenWrt device using ssh and copy the output of the following commands and post it here using the "Preformatted text </> " button:
Remember to redact passwords, MAC addresses and any public IP addresses you may have:
ubus call system board
cat /etc/config/network
cat /etc/config/wireless
cat /etc/config/dhcp

thank you. It works, but initially i didnt work and i changed mac addres of new pppoe interface as wan mac addres and it work.
You are correct, all the boxes seem intuitive 2nd time you touch them
