Nice excellent work! Now that you got your device fixed, I'll clean up my Git releases and start fresh. It's a mess with all those build releases...

The firmware you used was specifically built for another user that needed to have the ROM partition writable, so I would not recommend to use it for production usage. More, it doesn't have the specific settings for C20:

I would suggest that you use this more appropriated release.

@Linaro : Did you build yourself your own C20 firmware using this DTS file ?

Yes. But I have a problem with a bootloader. It can't start boot process because of lzma error when kernel is decompressing. After that I made ArcherC20V1_tp_recovery.bin from standart tp-link firmware for restoring device. I worked with all this only a few hours. Simply I have not time to understand what the reason of problem. From search in a forum I have understood that it is necessary to watch towards tplink-header (addresses of kernel loading) or u-boot sources from tplink SDK.

I successfully compilled and launched lede on my device. I made some fixes in the dts file. I had a problem with lzma probably because I updated device through a webinterface of TP-Link. I made ArcherC20V1_tp_recovery.bin, I flashed it and everything is ok.
My lede files: Firmware + Patch

  1. Fully works all leds
  2. usb supported
  3. luci without ssl

Not work:

  1. 5 GHz
  2. Firmware cannot be flashed from stock web interface. I get ability to flash via tplink webinterface but after that uboot produce lzma decompression error during boot.

Well 5GHz wont work since it uses MT7610E which has no driver support in LEDE.
Web interface does not work like in 840N V4 or 841N V13 because they changed to v3 firmware header

@robimarko Do you know if it's possible to fix the firmware generation so that it is fully functional from the stock UI? AFAIK @Linaro successfully flashed the generated image from the stock UI, but got a brick.

Some news. I have finished work on changes for lede master branch. Now it's on "pull request" stage. Also I built images using master branch Archer C20 using lede-master branch

Any chance of getting out a version for the V4 version?

Archer C20v4 uses another hardware platform based MT7628+MT7610E. So there is no problem if hardware is supported by Lede.

@Linaro any idea why the C20v1 is not built into the latest 17.01.4 LEDE release?

I've created an entry in the ToH for this device since it's now supported in snapshot.

@DjiPi 17.01.4 is a service release. So it includes only critical bugfixes. I think the C20V1 will be added in thе next release. I have made backport from upstream to 17.01.4: TP-Link Archer C20v1 LEDE v17.01.4

Hello! I made test build for Archer C20 v4. I will be glad to everyone to help with testing.

You should start another thread for the v4 as this thread is mainly linked as reference thread in ToH for the C20v1.

Also this could lead to confusion from some users as which version to use and since tftp is not checking firmware compatibility, they could end up installing the wrong version.
