Even when I unplug the Ethernet cable from the LAN port, the LAN light stays on, it doesn't turn off.
if it broke, reset it, you already got the link.
but I assume you connected the AX23 to your existing LAN, using a LAN port.
Connect LAN of first router to LAN of AX23 and either another LAN of AX23 to your PC or turn on wifi again on your PC. You should then be able to ssh root@192.168.1.2 into the AX23 since it is on the same network as your first router.
If you open the web configuration of your first router, you should also see the AX23 listed as connected device with the IP 192.168.1.2
with a static IP, you can't be sure ...
