Hi all,

As TP link is not helpful in fixing my latency/packet loss.So I opened the box but I couldn’t locate the uart chip/connector.

Using strings I was able to confirm that the stock firmware is open w.r.t.

was anyone able to locate/access to the serial and replace the stock firmware

V3 is your lucky version OpenWrt support for Deco X20

The stock firmware is likely based on OpenWrt, but make no mistake -- it is not OpenWrt. The stock firmware is highly customized by TP-Link and is likely derived from am old version of OpenWrt itself.

Is it the same cas for v1 as well: the version i have is v1
