TL-WR902ACv4 debrick to original FW

Newbie to OpenWRT!

I have tested my brand new TL-WR902ACv4 with the snapshot of openwrt. I wasnt able to get it connected to my network!

Now I would like to get back to the original FW of TP-Link. But I dont get it working.

What I have done:

  1. My PC LAN Interface is setup to 192.168.0.66
  2. mobaxterm tftp-server is activated with the directory to find the firmware
  3. downloaded the latest fw from tp-link for v4:
    TL-WR902ACv4_EU_0.9.1_0.3_up_boot[230506-rel55329]_2023-05-06_15.53.22.bin
  4. copied to tp_recovery.bin
  5. reboot of wr902ac with "reset"-button down and power on
  6. mobaxterm confirmed the fw was downloaded
  7. wr902ac rebootet -- all led are blinking !!!! - no success

I also tried to strip the first 257 bytes from the firmware:
dd if="TL-WR902ACv4_EU_0.9.1_0.3_up_boot[230506-rel55329]_2023-05-06_15.53.22.bin" of="tp_recovery.bin" skip=257 bs=512

Same result!

Is there anything I could do better?

O.K. I meanwhile managed to upload the WR902ACv3 Factory-Image. I can access the webgui but only through my direct connected cable on ip 192.168.1.1.

Now I would like to connect the router to my network and to obtail the ip-address via dhcp.

This does not work so far! Any hints are welcome!

O.K. I managed to setup a new bridge in the network settings using dhcp and linked to "eth0".

This now works on my network to obtain an ip-address and be accessible to luci.

WR902ACv4 is working with this setup.
