TL-WR841N v14 - switch + wifi

Is there OpenWrt for TL-WR841N v14? I use it in the basement only as a switch with wifi support. Does it make sense to upgrade to OpenWRT or should I keep the TP-Link firmware?

Only custom builds like TP-Link WR841N(D) v14 installation, custom image, configuration and factory firmware recovery guide . I also build it a few years ago
To answer your question - I believe that even an older unofficial openwrt still ofers more value vs official firmware.

The TL-WR841N v14 does not meet minimum system requirements for OpenWrt anymore - and hasn't for well over half a decade(!). There is no contemporary, security supported, version of OpenWrt capable to run on those systems, if you want to use OpenWrt, you need to upgrade the hardware first.

Hi, are you perhaps able to send me your build of openwrt for TL-WR841N v14 ?

nope - but you should be able to get it from here TP-Link WR841N(D) v14 installation, custom image, configuration and factory firmware recovery guide - Installing and Using OpenWrt - OpenWrt Forum
