TL-WDR4300 upgrading to latest version of OpenWrt

Same difference in this particular case, apart from choosing the correct firmware image (file name). tl-wdr3600 and tl-wdr4300 are basically identical, apart from the onboard 5 GHz wireless card, from a firmware point of view they're effectively identical and all procedures regarding OpenWrt on these device apply alike.

So which is the correct image for the WDR3600? And if I have installed the wrong one initially I can I install the correct one over it?

What about the right one, labeled as such for your device?

Am I right in picking this one:- ?

No, because that is the factory image. You probably want the sysupgrade one.

The fastest way to find the right firmware is to use the firmware selector. Select sysupgrade if you are already running OpenWrt. If you're using the stock TP-Link firmware, you would use the factory image.

Re-read the thread.

After discussions with @slh and @psherman, I edited my original post advising the factory firmware.

Use the sysupgrade,
