anything more specific ?
that's very specific, but feel free to replace "router" with "tp-link".
all i do is searching........ google and youtube
not helpfull sorry, am not a specialist unbricker
then you need to be specific, not only write "it doesn't work".
post a link to the video you tried to follow.
can anyone help here, am completely stuck
all this time i was waiting for the delivery of a working usb to ttl device.
i have one in my hands and i dont know what to do with it either with putty or with Tftpd64.
please give me some steps, thank you very much
That is what i wrote
- i have a new usb to ttl usb stick
- soldering the tx rx gnd is already done
- my router is TL-WA901N V6
- my bricked router ony thing it does, is the power led, nothing else
you did the right thing, instead of watching one of those videos and learn something in the process, you chose to get spoon fed ...
I'm out, good luck.
not really though, since someone else will be doing all the hard work for you.
Look man, sometimes in life you have to take the initiative and figure out things for yourself, that is what frollic was trying to convey to you... And he already gave you a lot of helpful information
Try to follow this video. It details how a tp-link recovery process is done. The model is not the same but it should be helpful nonetheless. Remember to use the
recovery.bin
file that is appropriate to your device.
Also, you need to understand that sometimes a bricked device cannot be unbricked, it depends on what was previously done to it.
all am doing is trying and trying and searching for videos and solutions and am hitting the wall
i cant make the usb to ttl responsive
the lan does not work, so the tftp method also does not apply
i tryied everything, i cant get a bootloop in any way
also used a multimeter to verify tx rx and gnd pins
putty refuses to enter bootloop :\
trash
When the power is first switched on you should see all the LEDs come on for a short time then they all go out except the power one. If that does not happen, the bootloader partition is probably corrupted and you would not get any output from serial either.
Powering up, the 3 leds light up for 2 seconds and then only the power led stays on.
There is no led test like before the crash.
So what i did, is plugged the tx to rx, rx to rx and gnd to gnd (router to usb 2 ttl)
Putty to port 4 speed 115200, 8, n, 1
and the only thing i get is a black terminal with no boot process of any kind
