Time Machine over SMB

Hi, I know that Apple Time Machine can work over SMB protocol, but can it work with version available in OpenWRT? Have anyone tried this?
AFP works but it's not reliable, I have to restart my router often.

yes it can. you'll want samba4 for best functionality.

( on snapshot - or was - not sure about 19/18 )
