I wouldn't recommend something that's technically unsupported, and I (currently) own four w1700k's myself.
Private imports of FCC-only equipment into other regulatory regions (ETSI, MKK, etc.) is challenging, while it might work out for some, I wouldn't exactly recommend it on a broader scale. On the one hand you have to deal with rather high shipping costs and taxes (still, the hardware is worth that), but you can quickly enter hot waters in terms of proper declaration and getting it past customs (because if the customs officers do their job, they will have to reject it, as these devices are not fit for importing into the EU (no CE mark) and are configured for the wrong regulatory domain (which makes importing and operating them in the ETSI area illegal)).

Why has no one suggested the OpenWrt One? It was around 89 US. I picked one up as a backup for other maintenance/testing on my primary. Seemed to work fine for my household needs. It took a while to get it. But it may make the under the $100 mark.
I got flint 2 for 106 Euro from Aliexpress. Very happy. They seem to be doing discount again, it shows 104 Euro on google, incl. shipping.

Right now, the only place I've found one (and it even is the version with case!), shows $98 but is from aliexpress with no warranty. And even then, the price shows as "$98.73 ~$222.55~ New shoppers save $123.82"
...I'm really tempted on the Cudy. Either the RT3000 or the TR1200. But right when I was about to buy the RT3000/256ram, amazon replaced all product pages to show "cudy AX3000" instead and now I will wait to understand wtf is that about.

anyway, the gl.inet device sounds good, but they are NOT cheap. And not top notch... I had two in the past that I used to seed torrent files for some project, and both of them killed their Usb pendrives that were attached 24/7 for holding the files.

I'm now trying to find out if the cudy ax3000 is supported. I think, at least in trumpreich, it is the best cost-benefit in the market.
edit: the cuddy ax3000 might be supported. Just saw that amazon seller droped rt3000 from the title, but now there's a little "model: rt3000" furter down. So it might just be the newer version with Cudy started using a new flash chip in their AX3000 devices, it's currently unsupported - #26 by flashrom
