TFTP restore of TP-Link TL-WPA8630 v2

Hi all,

I'm trying to restore a TP-Link TL-WPA8630 v2 (UK edition) to either factory or to OpenWRT.
I'm managed to brick mine trying to get LUCI installed on a snapshot image. (I'm learning!)

Do I need to open this thing up to restore a firmware or does it support tftp boot?

I gave tftp a try and it wouldn't pull an image, didn't show querying the tftp server.

Any pointers would be most welcome.

It looks like serial port should be used: https://openwrt.org/toh/hwdata/tp-link/tp-link_tl-wpa8630_v2

No, I can't find it. I suppose, you should open case, and connect serial port.

Have you tried Failsafe Mode and Factory Reset yet?
It should return the device to a state where you can log in with ssh.
