Hello everyone. Could someone help me with an OpenWRT firmware for a Tenda AC10U v2 please? I'm having performance issues and would like to try an alternative firmware.
Your device is not supported by OpenWrt so it is not possible to install the firmware on your router.
You can start investigating if support is possible, though:
tried searching the forum for AC10U ?
SoC is RTL8197FH and there is no support for that platform at all.
Yes, I looked for it but I only found something that took me to a link to a Russian forum and I didn't find a firmware there.
Thanks, I appreciate the information. I'll take a look at it. I'll try to find something, I'm new to this and don't have much knowledge.
Thanks for the information. Could something be done from telnet? Modify some parameters? Do you know how to telnet into the router?
then I guess you didn't read the whole threads ...
how would telnet fix non existing hw support ?
Sorry, I'm new to this topic and from what I've seen, some modify certain parameters of their router or modem from telnet, such as configuring something called bufferbloat and things like that to make the router perform better. That's why I was asking if something could be done that way since the router does not support OpenWRT.
we don't know anything about the vendor firmware, your guesses are as good as ours.
RTL8197FH -> yeah unlikely unless you want to do significant work and look into how one would get ethernet to work?
No ethernet drivers but looks like there was some work to get at least storage, pci and rtl8192 working? Kernel 4.14 also might require more work.
Check out these things I found for a similar question about Xiaomi RD05 or whatever.
Thank you very much, I appreciate your time and information.
