Tailscale - UDP GRO forwarding is suboptimally configured on wan?

I successfully setup tailscale on my Cudy WR3000s on 25.12.2.
So far so good I would say

I was using the official OpenWRT document for this tailscale setup and can access my LAN.

Now my question:

In the docu I can see a recommendation to change the UDP settings in order to increase throughput.
Also I am getting a warning in the shell like:
root@Diele:~# tailscale up --advertise-routes=192.168.2.0/24 --snat-subnet-routes=false
Warning: UDP GRO forwarding is suboptimally configured on wan, UDP forwarding throughput capability will increase with a configuration change.
See https://tailscale.com/s/ethtool-config-udp-gro

But I fear a bit that I will create trouble when changing these settings…

What is your experience - should I leave it as it is and ignore that warning, I think the CPU of the Cudy should be strong enough, right?

I’d say the proof is in the pudding… ie., try it under actual real world conditions and if it works well, you’re golden… I’m not sure what your router can handle in terms of bandwidth, but you may be surprised, hopefully in a positive way.

Sorry but this has nothing to do with the topic of the thread.

Yes gro should be disabled.
