Tagging multiple vlans on physical AP ports

this is expected behavior. You are confused because you are expecting your laptop to get served IP addresses from both vlans 1 and 2 after tagging both on the single port on the back of your C7 but your laptop ethernet port is not configured correctly to be able to read the 802.1q frames coming out of that C7 port.

Definitely not confused here. I am not wanting the laptop to get two different IP addresses. I have proxmox box that I am wanting to connect to the AP. I want the PVE to be in the vlan10 and the VMs to be in their own respective vlans.

I don't have time now to reset the AP. For now I just connected the proxmox host directly to the switch. The needed vlans are tagged on that GE.

for if it helps: i have my archer c7 v2 working on openwrt 22.03.5 with multiple vlans on two ports

the picture in Archer C7 internal switch configuration consideration helps to get a clear view on the internal switching.

my switch config in luci is:
lan1 + lan3 tagged vlans 8-10-11-12-13.
lan2 untagged vlan 12.
lan4 untagged vlan1.

lan1 goes to managed switch, lan3 goes to openwrt dumb AP
i had higher numbers for the vlans before (>100), didn't work on the archer c7
