Switch plugged into Port 2/3/4 (OW 24.10.0)

Moin,

how do I have to configure a Device/Interface to make a switch plugged in work?
Single Devices work fine, but a connected Switch doesnt work.
One Switch is a Aliexpress one, the other one a D-Link DGS-108 (802.1p)

Lets say LAN4 should be Subnet 192.168.40.0 and I want all devices plugged into the Switch (not into router), which is connected to port lan4 at the OpenWRT router, to receive an IP within Subnet 192.168.40.0?

Guess it's about the correct "Device" Setting, tried a lot

Chris

It has to be in the style of "guest wifi" - ie bridge with one port no longer member of other bridges, dhcp subnet, rudimentary firewall holes, just no wifi.
Please add following </> info (removing public ips, secrets etc)

ubus call system board
cat /etc/config/network
cat /etc/config/firewall
cat /etc/config/dhcp

Ah, seams it does finaly work.
All Videos say "use Bridge device, its easier"....
Due to the Lamobo R1 (Bananapi R1) is a pretty old SBC router (Nov 2014), I now simply tried "Network device" instead of something fancy (Bridge/VLAN/...) and - :bulb: :bulb: :bulb: - the port showed activity with client connected via Switch  Client->Switch->OWrt-Router

At least the D-Link Switch is now working, in my case plugged into Lan4 with example subnet 192.168.40.0
