Support for TL-SG1016DE/PE

Hello,
is the TP-Link SG1016DE (and/or PE) supported? I saw some search results in the forum that kindof suggest that it is, but the hardware table doesn't list it.

can't find any proof of it being supported. ..

If it is based on a Realtek rtl83xx SoC, it's at least supportable. However, TP-Link is known to change SoC between versions. Installation is usually a bit tricky (there are at least three supported TP-Link switches with a fourth having a pending PR, all require shorting a pin on the flash IC to install OpenWrt; they are all from the SG2xxx series, though).

If you don't have the switch already, I recommend looking for a better supported one - the ZyXEL GS1900-series is usually highly recommended.

Thanks for the recommendation. My problem here is that I only have space for a small-ish 16-port switch – but for some strange reason the GS1900-16 is not available in Europe.

There is the D-Link DGS-1210-16, but you need to make sure to get a rev. G1 (rev. F and rev. R might work as well). Or the ZyXEL GS1900-24E.
