I've stumbled upon Gl-Inet physical eSIM: https://store.gl-inet.com/pages/esim - it looks like proprietary Gl-Inet firmware talks to this eSIM via some AT commands. Is there any open project I could use with same modem as inside supported Gl-inet models? Maybe there is other physical esim that can be managed from CLI without proprietary firmware?
Are you looking to write eUICC profiles?
lpac is capable of writing from command line, there's no Graphical User Interface to read write and query it as of yet:
Yes, I would like to add esims and switch them from command line. But where do I start? I buy the esim from Gl-inet or esim.me and it will work? Or do I have to have some special hardware (modem)?
Just to clarify - I'm not looking for doing this on my desktop - I need this on directly on my router much like in GL-Inet's MIFI solutions
So from what I read in lpac project issues (documentation is apalling) you just need a modem that allows AT commands and supports all needed commands? Where do I buy such a eUICC card? Will this work with any card like that? I can see that Digikey requires some sort of registration for their cards to work - how does it work?
this will work with gl-inet, 5ber, esim.me 9esim etc.
you just need a program that can write eUICC profiles to either a physical esim card or a sim card built in to the modem
