I got this hardware which looks a lot like this router: https://openwrt.org/toh/routerich/ax3000
but web ui won't flash the sysupgrade image (error: failed to validate image) I'm not sure why. With other versions (ax1800) I had to use tftp method to flash factory then upgrade using sysupgrade image. Tftp wont work either on ax3000 I'm assuming I'm missing some basic settings like the correct static ip address or something.
Any pointers how to flash this router?
I wouldn't attempt to use a firmware from a "similar" device.
correct but these routers are known to have similar hardware but different branding. Check out fenvi ax1800, which is also called edup, or simax.
then do it, and come back to tell us how long it took you to recover it (if unsuccessful) ...
Hi, I have the same router, and are similar only in specs with Routerich, boards are different so is highly probable that firmware wont work.
There is a XWRT firmware for Tenbay WR3000K that I used. I flashed the initramfs first, then squashfs-sysupgrade.
Also you can cherry-pick the commit for Tenbay wr3000k and build your own OpenWrt+wr3000k.

I asked the manufacturer for the data sheet and can confirm that the specs are identical to Tenbay WR3000K.

My question to you is: from the screenshot you shared it looks like this is openwrt luci and not xwrt. Can you elaborate more what did you do? I prefer to have openwrt and not xwrt.

The routers shape looks very much like cudy wr3000s, which seems to be already supported from snapshot.
Is it known if there are hardware differences or is it just a rebrand?
