Cudy now offer a signed openwrt, but first need an official openwrt firmware
¿A vicious circle?

Dear Customer,
Thank you for contacting Cudy support team.
For now, the OpenWRT forum doesn't release the OpenWRT firmware. So there is no need to offer the intermediate firmware to remove signature check. We will release the firmware after OpenWRT forum releases the OpenWRT firmware.

Their interim fw is already published ?

It's also going to be also built for 24.10.0-rc1

I've tested 24.10 now on a Cudy WR3000v1 and got a strange wifi troughput issue.

LAN -> WLAN I get 1Gbit, WAN -> WLAN I get only 200Mbit downstream, regardless if hardware offloading etc is enabled or not. With 23.05 the througput was 1Gbit up and down.

I just installed snapshot build and I get assigned random mac address to the ethernet interface on each boot. I had to set the mac address manually.

I have identical problem with this router. It's piece of garbage if I'm being honest. I have to buy something else becasue it's driving me nuts. Can you recommend me something with rock solid WiFi?

I have 6 of them and they work fine. You should use release versions......

No problems here anymore, now running RC4 rock solid for a few weeks and they got used a lot in the holiday season.
A few versions ago I had the problem that the 5ghz channel would disappear after a few days, but that is also solved.

I got two of them and they act as a AP behind my opnsense firewall. So they got no DHCP and firewall enabled.

I don't know i tried it on stock software for a month and it crashes wifi every 30 minutes or so, the same is happening on Open WRT, i will try to update it. I just want something rock solid, the low price tempted me and I'm pissed now.

Maybe you have defective hardware?

Maybe but the guy few posts above has the same problem so I don't know. I have newest release of Openwrt now I will try older version.

You could both have defective hardware. Since other people do not have the specific problem.

Mine is running snapshots as WDS repeater since months - rock solid. I had issues when I was updating from kernel 5 to 6 with keeping the settings. This is the most "boring" router I had, as I had 0 issues with it.
You see also that the topic do not have so many posts.. belive me if it had issues it would be with 1000nds of posts. See RT3200 until the OKD issue was fixed. You may reqlly have hardware issue as mentioned by @Bartvz .
