I'm having issues with wired client unable to connect after suspend on the 2.5G port. Is anyone else seeing that? Started 25.12.0 and now happening more frequently with .1. Client interface restart brings it back.

Just updated to 25.12.2 myself. Working fine, but can’t for the life of me get MLO to connect on more than one band. It was connecting on 2.4+6Ghz on 25.12.0. I’m using the same SSID/sae encryption+pass for all three radios +

I’ve tried adding option mlo ‘1’ (not sure if it’s needed?) but to no avail.
Radio 1 is currently used as a sta client connection so I’m leaving it out of the equation, but I’ve also tried removing it as a sta client for testing purposes. The mlo network connects fine, gets internet from radio1 (or doesn’t get internet if I remove it :D), but no matter what I do it only connects on the 6GHz band.
My adapter is 2x2x2 so it should be able to connect on two bands.
Anyone else having mlo issues? It irks me because it was working fine on 25.12.0 >.<
Edit: Tried downgrading to 25.12.0 just to test it out again. Tried my own config, hecate’s, lamelogins’… nothing. Just connects at either 2.4 or 6GHz. I give up.
Back on 25.12.2, running as a wireless repeater and working like a charm. MLO be damned at this point >.> (but if someone could clue me in I’d be grateful :D)
I have not made any "in depth" investigations regarding MLO but I know that my wifi7 adapter in Windows connects multiple radios when connected with BT8 - original firmware.
Connected to BT8 OpenWRT (set up as I think it is supposed to be) it only connects one radio - notice also that it says Protocol Wifi7 on BT8 original and Protocol 802.11be on BT8 OpenWRT.
But as far as I know there are different kinds of MLO and have not read all information.
Yeah, I had it connect on two bands on the Asus’ original FW too.
Those are all from the original FW when I first got the router.
But in my previous post from March 6th it was working on OpenWrt too (on 25.12.0 - all same SSIDs and sae encryption as per hecate’s instructions). Tried the exact same config today - only connected on 6GHz xD
So I really don’t know what’s up. Also I see you have the same adapter as me. Piece of junk -.- Can’t even saturate the USB3 port

I actually dont have the Asus ROG USB-92, I have dirt cheap models from Comfast and Fenvi with the same chip inside (RTL8912AU) then I "force" Windows to use the ROG Drivers since they are far more developed than the ones from Comfast and Fenvi ![]()

I assume that is win10/win11. Can either of you test a linux live usb? (Fedora 43/fedora 44 | (https://www.fedoraproject.org/) 44 may be required for wifi7 drivers.
Can either of you run wireshark? You should be able to install and run it if you boot fedora.

Above is an S24. If 320Mhz is enabled on 6Ghz, MLO doesn't work. Both of you appear capped at 2800/2800 i.e. "why use MLO if 6Ghz delivers that?" may be happening to you.
Try limiting 6Ghz and try again.
Yeah. Go buy something name branded and use the correct drivers. You should definitely try out fedora 44.

Im using Ubuntu on at least 7 computers at home - most work is done on my two arm-based laptops.
The Windows computer is just a backup for weird programs that only run on Windows.
In this case its interesting since its a basic standard setup Windows 11 with nothing extra installed.

My main laptop is running Ubuntu 26.04 (beta) and has a Qualcomm QCNCM865 Wifi7 card - but I dont know if MLO is working yet - I did however install Wireshark, but I have never used it before.

I just ordered a BT8 and 2.5gb switch earlier today. Hope the wifi is stable enough and cake_mq works well enough to retire my flint 2 and x86 router. I was going to wait for the flint 4 but the stupid router ban ruined that.
Currently not working for filogic targets.
Eh well I have to retire the x86 anyway it only has 1 gig ethernet. I bricked my good x86 trying to fix stability problems with the i226v nics.

The above should theoretically be 3 and that is what OEM should report and eventually openwrt. This should be the number one thing to find out before focusing on clients.
