Subscribe to Openwrt-announce

The web version looks like its gone. I entered my email and got another message to email a cant figure it out email address in plain text, not html. Really and you want us to subscibe. I’d like to if it was clear how to?

It is not clear what you are asking...

This sentence isn't entirely clear. Do you mean to say that you got a message in plain text and your email client doesn't know how to render it? That sounds like an email client issue -- what client software are you using?

This isn’t clear to me either.

Please subscribe by email instead:

Due to abuse, the web-based subscription has been disabled.
You can join by sending email to the list's -join address instead.

It looks like you were trying to subscribe to openwrt-announce@lists.openwrt.org.

In that case you should be able to subscribe by sending a PLAIN TEXT (not HTML)
mail containing only the single word subscribe to openwrt-announce-join@lists.openwrt.org.

It must be plain text, and it must go to the -join address, not to the
list itself.

The join address comes back as:

Failed; 5.1.1 (bad destination mailbox address)

Easy... I can't speak for all email clients, but if you are trying to use a Gmail account, you can use the Gmail web app... Compose > three dots menu in the compose window > plain text mode

Remote MTA util-01.infra.openwrt.org: SMTP diagnostic: 550 Unrouteable address

It’s not an issue of plain text, the address is undeliverable from the error’s?

4th try was the charm. Address is good. Must of been some connection issue.
