Stuck at 13 MBit with OpenWrt on a ZTE MF283+ LTE Modem

I'm using the QMI protocol on an old ZTE MF283+ modem and the connection itself is fine:

root@OpenWrt:~# uqmi -d /dev/cdc-wdm0 --get-signal-info

Carrier aggregation is not available (but it should, isn't it?):

root@OpenWrt:~# qmicli -d /dev/cdc-wdm0 -p --nas-get-lte-cphy-ca-info
error: couldn't get carrier aggregation info: QMI protocol error (71): 'InvalidQmiCommand'

But always when I do a speed test the maximum is 13 MBit althouth the modem and my LTE rate supports up to 100 MBit. For comparison I have tried another modem with the Magenta stock OS on it and I got 80-100 MBit.

Is the MTU setting of 1500 an issue or what could I try to improve the speed?

Thank you

You are in low density rural cell, probably hook better 4g5g antenna.

This is true. So you think the Huawei B535-232 (the other modem I tried) has a much better antenna?

Nope, you need like pair if this
