Hi all, I am using WRT32x but the Stock ROM is kind of lame, not much feature packed inside, meanwhile I need MU-MIMO for my WLAN infrastructure, any project that is modding the latest Stock ROM from Linksys to extend the feature? Or, does anyone tried to port the MU-MIMO proprietary driver into the latest OpenWrt release?
The OpenWrt project does not try to mod the original firmware, When you install OpenWrt, the original firmware is erased and replaced completely.
The wireless drivers for your router do not support MU-MIMO, and will probably never support it. Even thought those drivers are open-sourced, most of the work is performed by a closed-sourced firmware, that the manufacturer has abandoned.
