Station not able to ping the gateway

Hi all ,
i have configured 2 APs as master mode (with same wireless configs) and wired gateway is also provided. at this point of time gateway is reachable . but as soon as i turn 1 AP in station mode and turn down its wired link , it is now able to connect with the other AP . but after connectinng with the AP, it is able to ping the AP but not the gateway or any upstream device . and also the gateway is not able to ping the station device for like 3-4 minutes .

after sometimes it works fine, so is there issue with some ageing time or anything else ..?

Probably a config issue. But it is hard to understand the details of your network. Can you provide a topology diagram?
