I am sorry if I reactivated this topic unnecessarily. I should have used the information here better, understand what was being said and not disturb everyone. My bad.
So, to summarize, the connection always comprises of 2. The Access Point (I will refer to OpenWRT as Access Point, no matter if you use it as router as well or not) and the client.
In my case, my network has about 20 clients regularly. Some on the 5Ghz and some on the 2.4Ghz network. For all the 20 clients, that I would say evenly distributed between the 2 frequencies, 2 generate log in the Access Point.
In both cases I was able to fix the problem in the clients by:
- In one case updating the Wifi firmware. Yes, that simple. New firmware fixed the problem.
- The other one, not even a new firmware fixed. So, I went on the advanced setting of the wifi card and changed the "MIMO Power Save Mode" to No SMPS.
And I guess, what this post also mentions, is that in case the logs in OpenWRT disturbs your feelings, you can have SMPS-STATIC for everyone.
I don't believe that from the OpenWRT point of view, there is anything else that can be done. It is up to the clients that this needs to be fixed and the problem doesn't seem to be very big, even if you don't do anything.
Once again, sorry I reopened the subject before.
