SQM speedtest directly from openwrt router

Hello all

I have my main openwrt router (Netgear WAX206) connected to provider modem's.
The two are connected via 2.5gb port and cable. My home line is 2.5gb ftth. I want to try to setup sqm but, as first step, it require me to speedtest. Since I have no lan port on my laptop, Is there some command I can perform directly on the WAX206 to determine the speed values needed for SQM?
Best regards.

Not sure the dual arm a53 will be able to source and sink traffic at 2.5 Gbps... maybe this will work without SQM, but with SQM I am pretty confident you will be lucky to reach 1 Gbps, if at all.

But maybe try to get a 2.5 Mbps USB3/4 ethernet dongle for your laptop?

First you have to measure forwarding throughput

iperf3 --bidir -c <server>

Likely you need offloads to saturate gigabit up + gigabit down. SQM xor wirespeed in other words.
