SQM package installation failed on Etisalat S3 (mt7621) - OpenWrt 25.12.3

Hi everyone,

I recently upgraded my Etisalat S3 (AC2100 - ramips/mt7621) router to the latest OpenWrt 25.12.3 release. However, when I try to install the luci-app-sqm package, it fails with a dependency error related to missing firewall/iptables components on this newer build.

Since SQM is currently broken for this target on 25.12.3, I had to downgrade back to 24.10.5 where everything works perfectly. Could the developers please check and fix the SQM package repository dependencies for mt7621 devices on the new version?

What about 25.12.4?

Since you provide zero details, except "it's broken", is it perhaps the same issue as in OpenWrt 25.12.3 WR3000H missing dependencies ?

That was a bug in LuCI Package Manager, that is now fixed. Just upgrade to 24.12.4 using LuCI Attended Sysupgrade or owut and it will be fixed, then you can install the sqm packages without error (or even easier, just add them to the upgrade).
