Something wrong with the wifi connection

When I use it every day, the wifi always disconnects itself but the wired connection has no effect. Every time it can't recover by itself unless I restart the router or modify some key wifi related settings like band range, etc. Simply switching the wifi service can't solve it
The device info below:

Model Xiaomi Mi Router 4C

Architecture MediaTek MT7628AN ver:1 eco:2

Target platform ramips/mt76x8

Firmware version OpenWrt 21.02.3 r16554-1d4dea6d4f / LuCI openwrt-21.02 branch git-22.335.71649-0ecaf74

when the problem happened when I connected wifi with phone .the phone is disconnected with network automatically

what can I do to solve it?

This is a known issue with mt76 wireless drivers. I've never had this issue but from what I see, plenty of people do. Try disabling "Disassociate On Low Acknowledgement" on "Advanced Settings" of your master wireless network's settings.

further settings worth trying:

  • checkmark „disable inactivity polling“
  • increase station inactivity limit (e.g. try 10times the default)

You can also try modifying

  • beacon interval
  • DTIM interval

I do not know why, but solely changing DTIM default 2 to 1 does it for me to fix a randomly disconnecting airplay2 receiver (D Link dir-1960, also mt…)

  • Some uses have reported that changing from router to access point mode also reduces the random disconnects.
  • Some report that disabling sleep settings on the client devices (if there are any settings) can also help

(But don’t modify all values at the same time, research what they roughly do, change one at a time and track the outcome)

Thank you for answering my question, but I never turned this option on, and just now I confirmed again that "disconnect on low Ack response" is off

if I remember correctly, „Disassociate On Low Acknowledgement“ in OpenWRT-default is on/checked, so your current setting is customized, if the checkmark is removed

@cstcood

I use these configs I moved from ath9k to a MT AP:

        option dtim_period '5'
        option wpa_group_rekey '86400'
        option wpa_disable_eapol_key_retries '1'

I have other MT devices I haven't changed default. Sometimes I also change Beacon Interval and Distance; but again I also have many devices at default with no issues.

I will try to apply those modification, but the results of these modifications still need time to prove,Anyway, thank you for answer.
