[Solved] Upgrade broke Netgear R6850 WAN

I upgraded with 25.12.0-rc1 and I could not get out the WAN.

I was able to get out before the upgrade, but after I saw in Network > Interfaces that wan6 Present but wan Carrier was Absent.

Edit of wan6 showed Device > wan

Edit of wan showed Device > Bridge: "br-wan"

When I changed the wan to Device > Ethernet Adapter: "wan" (wan, wan6) I was able to get out the wan again.

I haven't had that happen before so I thought I would note it.

You intentionally created conflicting configurations, then went to pollute gh bug tracker not providing this detail.
Close both and thank you.

What?

By gh, do you mean GitHub? No I didn't post anything on GitHub!

I thought by documenting a solution is what this forum is all about. I had no wan after a flash and then I solved a problem. If this isn't good enough for you people, I'm out.

This is the second time I've gotten this kind of attitude from this OpenWrt forum. I don't appreciate it.

I don't know what you mean by "close both" since I only posted this singular post as [Solved].

I don't even know what the "bug tracker" is, I haven't been there yet. I didn't report it as a "bug" I just thought my experience would help someone else. Helping people with OpenWrt was my intent.

I've only had a handful of posts here and maybe I'm not the best at it, but every other forums are certainly more welcoming and helpful than you people.

Clearly you don't want my help.

I'm done with this forum. This is my last post.

No insult, if you have 2 configs for wan port - one as a bridge member other as an interface with IP with upgrades the config will flip every now and then.
