Hello all,
I updated some of my OpenWRT switches (Netgear) today, all in the same way and all without problems.
Now I have updated my D-Link switch as well and have a problem.
I transferred the sysupgrade image via scp and then ran sysupgrade -v /tmp/image.
Like all devices, the switch then boots. After an interruption, all my devices connected to this switch are accessible again, everything looks good but I can no longer access the D-Link.
No longer over Luci and also no longer via SSH. Not even a ping works What happened here and does anyone know how I can get the device fully functional again?
Hi, thank for your help.
I have downloaded the image here: Image Selector
But what I unfortunately did, I also did with my other switches, I customized the packages by exactly one package “rsync” and had the image built and downloaded.
The exact name of the file was then:
"openwrt-ee6fae81d9b5-realtek-rtl838x-d-link_dgs-1210-16-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin"
What is really strange is that the switch really seems to work, all connected devices are accessible and have no problems so far. However, I can no longer access Luci or SSH.
[user@tux ~]$ ssh root@192.168.1.11
ssh: connect to host 192.168.1.11 port 22: Connection refused
[user@tux ~]$ ssh root@192.168.1.11
ssh: connect to host 192.168.1.11 port 22: Connection refused
Hm, the update went fine on my DGS-1210-28MP.
Depending on the version you upgraded from, the network configuration might no longer match. Can you reach the switch in failsafe mode?
Ok I have access to the switch again now.
I do a factory reset over the reset button.
After this I can log in again over 192.168.1.1
The firmware which was installed now ist "OpenWrt SNAPSHOT r28814-b6415e9fa9 / LuCI Master 25.044.01350~033986c"
I do not understand this because I flashed the downloaded 24.10.
I will try now again to install 24.10
