[SOLVED] Unable to install lede on RB952Ui-5ac2nD

hello.

can't install openwrt/lede on this router.

it should be possible to do it as may be seen here.

can make it run openwrt-ar71xx-mikrotik-vmlinux-initramfs.elf but whenever i try to sysupgrade it with sysupgrade -n -v openwrt-ar71xx-mikrotik-rb-nor-flash-16M-ac-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin after some seconds it reboots with the original routeros. :thinking:

i tried with the files found on trunk and after that compiled it to no avail.

should i file a bug?

makes me think that the problem is an unrecognized flash chip.

That a issue.
All newer MT boards use Winbods JV revision of NOR which has new JEDEC ID
You can apply this patch

I already pushed the patch upstream so after its accepted I will make backport to OpenWRT.

That one is wrongly titled so day after that one I sent a V2 with a corrected title.
No idea how much time will it take.

Patch to add support for the 32Mbit version took around 2 months.
I doubt it will be before merge window for 4.19
