[Solved] Openwrt & Access Point with dd-wrt

Hi All,
I run a ZTE MF286D with last openwrt, wire connected with a Buffalo WZR-1166DHP running dd-wrt configured as Access Point.
I do not see the connection (I mean I do not see the AP as a connected device).
Is it a default or do I miss some knowledge? (I should say I'm not an openwrt expert).

It is a Broadcom device so I can understand you are using DDWRT (I also have some of those Broadcom devices still going strong and running DDWRT)

Have you followed the correct instructions to set this up as a Wireless Access Point (WAP) in OpenWRT parlance a BridgedAP.

Thanks. I'll quickly check.
I did nothing .... I simply connected the two devices just after I installed openwrt on the device previously running Nordic.
It was amazing that everything smoothly worked just plugging the cable

I mislead you ..... I'm already using buffalo as wired Access Point, I configured it at the time I bought the TIM banded ZTE MF286D.
I have the openwrt router as 192.168.100.1 while the dd-wrt access point as 192.168.100.201. I set up this address (201) on dd-wrt and I think I should see it on openwrt router as connected device (as other connected devices).

If your ap is setup with a static ip, it will not show up in the dhcp lease table of OpenWrt because it is not requesting a dhcp lease.

It will be in the ARP table and in the real-time connections if it is actively using the Internet.

The IP address of an AP is for administrative use. The WiFi clients bridge through and have their own IPs.
