Regarding documentation to make it more clear-

Preparation for OEM GUI-Based Install

#1 Download 22.03.5 first and get this image loaded and running on your device.
#2 After getting 22.03.5 running you can now update to newer versions like 23.x.x only after performing this procedure.

Upgrading OpenWrt from 22.03.5 into 23.xx or snapshot images
Increasing Kernel Size Procedure

The documentation already is pretty clear on both points you have mentioned.

It is not my intent to get into an argument here but I have no words... "clear" is subjective. Nothing about this sentence causes me to read further down the page, to me it says - "STOP".

Using a more recent build on this step will lead to a soft-brick

I am simply suggesting you could add one additional sentence in an earlier part of the page to say the system could be upgraded higher if following proper procedure. (which is much further down the page) I needed to re-read the doc in it's entirety to gain a full understanding. I gave my feedback based on my first impressions. Do with it, what you will. I was simply trying to help.

If you think it's a worthwhile addition then you can apply for a wiki account and add it. Although, given that the table of contents shows a section on upgrading to 23.xx and that the 'upgrading' section immediately follows the end of the 'installation' section (which I'd assume most people would read through in it's entirety when installing for the first time) I still don't see that it would add much value.

Perhaps we can both just agree the importance of reading these sorts of documents in their entirety first time to prevent any misunderstandings or missed information.
