I'm trying to enable PoE out on my router and have followed what is described in the wiki page: https://openwrt.org/toh/ubiquiti/edgerouter_x_er-x_ka#specific_configuration (GPIO 512 is the setting I've used).
I have a 24 volt 3 amp power adapter connected to the unit, but the eth4 port (the one with PoE out) doesn't appear to supply any power to the connected PoE camera I have attached to it.
Any suggestions/guidance would be much appreciated!
Just as a sanity check - make sure your camera is 24V passive PoE compatible. Most PoE devices are 802.3af/at/bt - 48V active PoE. Only older Ubiquiti cameras are 24v compatible, new ones are all 802.3af/at. I can’t speak to other brands.
