[Solved] Debug Log files to ramdisk OR maybe somewhere better?

Hi, I have a GL-X750 (Spitz) Version 2 with OpenWrt and its working really well. Using the forum and OpenWrt website I have been able to sort out emailing from the router.

I have written scripts which repeatedly create a debug log to store signal strengths over a period of time. I can offload the debug log using email which works great but I am worried about flash write limits for the filing system.

I did read somewhere on the OpenWrt website about using ramdisks and advice on better places to store logs which does not limit write cycles. I can not find the article now and I think it was for older versions of OpenWrt.

Would be really grateful for any thoughts or advice, articles on what to implement and how?

Regards,

M

Not sure if you need anything special.
Even in the normal OpenWrt config, /tmp directory is ramdisk.

Thanks. That's a great help.
