Software update - old packages

Hi, I have a DIR-600 rev B5 router.
I installed everything according to the guide found on the internet

I wanted to update the software, unfortunately the package page is up to date.

root@OpenWrt:~# opkg update
Downloading http://downloads.openwrt.org/snapshots/trunk/ramips/packages/Packages.gz.
wget: server returned error: HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found
Collected errors:
 * opkg_download: Failed to download http://downloads.openwrt.org/snapshots/trunk/ramips/packages/Packages.gz, wget returned 1.
root@OpenWrt:~#

How can I update packages on my router?

@twitchthis, welcome to the community!

Just update your snapshot, it's old. You cannot use kmods, etc. from older snapshots anyways. I know it must be old because the URLs were slightly modified recently.

Also, be mindful, it's probably better to upgrade your snapshot than upgrading packages. Some people have soft bricked thier routes doing so!

There's many threads on the topic of not upgrading packages in place.

(Moved to Installing and using OpenWrt)
