Has a Snort3 GUI (LuCI or other) ever been considered?

Some people have asked for it, but none of them has stepped up to do the work. Since snort is pretty useless in CPE and requires so much RAM, disk and CPU, it seems more like something a commercial vendor would want to invest in.
