Snapshot of the BPi-R4 image available?

Hi, New to this forum, I just got a BananaPi-R4 and was able to install the image from the firmware-selector to SD-card (https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org/?version=SNAPSHOT&target=mediatek%2Ffilogic&id=bananapi_bpi-r4); however, I'd like to get the actual snapshot and walk through the build steps.
Is that documented anywhere?
Is the snapshot (not just the binary image) available?

Thanks, I walked through the top part of this, but it failed and I later read (somewhere) that the BPI-R4 is not part of mainline repository yet. Is that not the case?

if there are images it should be, it's however not part of stable.

Strange... I tried this last week and I didn't see BPI-R4 as an option in menuconfig. This morning I tried it again and it was there, and it built and ran.
