Small storage on device

Hello,

I am pretty new in this area, so understand my silly questions.
I have router ASUS RT-AX53U, and I would like to use Adguard
https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/services/dns/adguard-home.
Problem is the storage on my router. It says it has only 32MB and temp space cca 122 MB.
Don't understand why is it so small.
I try to plug in usb stick to extend storage, but I do not see it anywhere.
Could you help me with some hints ?

Read the last paragraph at https://openwrt.org/toh/start

Tmp is RAM.

are you sure TMP is RAM ?

Put something there, reboot, see if it's still there.

Don't.
I've tried to use AGH on a Fritz!Box 7520 (which has also 256MB RAM like your Asus):
Even after a fresh boot the memory usage was at ~85%. Every time i started a larger download, the free memory decreased until the router rebooted due to too less space to work with.
adblock (fast|lean) should use less memory.
