Slow Boot Up time for Relayd Configuration

Hi,

I am using an openWRT configuration to set up a wireless network between two networks. I am running Luci-Proto-Relay and RelayD and the boot up time boot up time varies between 2-3 minutes?

How can I speed this up?

Thank you!

There is a difference between boot time and the time needed for the device to get online, so please be clear on this distinction (dmesg and logread should provide some hints about this). Assuming you're referring to the later, the time needed for the device to get wireless access, you have to consider that for using DFS (5 GHz-) channels, the device has to listen for (at least-) one (up to 10-) minutes for the all-clear-no-radar-in-range signal, only then the radio is allowed to start transmitting (and the AP interface can only come up after the client backhaul is connected). The only alternative would be not using DFS channels, but -if free- the DFS channels are often preferred (less interference, higher bandwidth and speed).
