since I am new here. I want to get back to Please point me in the right direction --> Sitecom Geyhound AC2600 - since te Gryhound is not listed on https://downloads.openwrt.org/releases/18.06.1/targets/ipq806x/generic/ . Can I use a AP148 image, and which?

Not listed in the ToH := not supported

While it may not be too difficult to port your device to OpenWrt (no one knows, until they try to get started), someone (==you) will have to do it - blindly trying to flash different firmware images is not going to work though (and might destroy your device while trying).
